CELEBRATION OF ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT - JANUARY 2005

Sarah Travers comes from Portstewart and was a pupil at Dominican College from 1985 – 1992. She excelled academically, musically and was Drama Festival Director in 1991. Her sister Jennifer also attended the College and is now a Haematologist at Glasgow Royal Hospital.

Sarah was a leading member of the school magazine editorial committee and having successfully completed her A level studies in English, History and Music she went to Nottingham Trent University to study Broadcast Journalism. Sarah worked in Radio Foyle from 1995 to 1997 and then joined the BBC in Belfast where she currently works as a presenter on BBC Newsline.

Dominican College is proud to count Sarah Travers as a past pupil and it was a special day for Dominicans when she presented the following Achievement awards:
