Mrs O'Connor sends this update on the Spanish Exchange trip.
All is going well in Torre del Mar. Our pupils arrived safe, sound and a wee bit tired after having travelled though the night on Friday 16th.
After a terrifying moment when it looked like it might rain(!!!) everything fell into place and we were greeted in style by our exchange school in Torre del Mar. Part of the school houses a catering college where we enjoyed a "brunch" consisting of many typical Spanish tapas and desserts which definitely hit the spot.
Our exchange pupils met us at the end of their school day and everyone immediately began to mix very well.
Saturday saw another early start when we travelled to World Heritage cities Ubeda and Baeza to enjoy the Renaissance, Gothic and Romantic architecture, the beautiful views of the mountains and more food!! Our fine lunch ended with a Spanglish version of Happy Birthday-Cumpleaños Feliz and a cake to celebrate a certain Alison´s 18th Birthday.
We returned to Torre happy but tired and ready to appreciate Sunday to relax with our Spanish Families.
The group are pictured here on Saturday at Baeza.
