Following on from more than forty awards associated with her Shotokan Karate, Yasmin Geddis has been awarded the Dominican College special Achievement Award.

The award annually recognises pupils who have been exceptional in their own particular way within their time in school. Yasmin, the 2008 UK champion, has just returned from both the World Championships in Mexico and the European championships where she won a bronze medal.

Yasmin who is pictured here receiving her award from Dr Cummings and Sr Geraldine -Marie Smyth, follows on from such past winners as Aaron Mullan, Mike Olatunji and Rosaleen Dempsey.
