Maria Hassan chosen as World Maths Day ambassador. 03 February 2010


This week Maria Hassan ,a Year nine Dominican pupil received the brilliant news that, following a recommendation from her Maths teacher,Mrs Moody, she has been chosen to represent her country as a special Maths ambassador for world Maths Day in March 2010.

Maria is one of only a handful of students from the UK to be chosen for this role and is delighted to be able to represent her school in such a prestigious capacity.

Welcoming Maria to her role as a Maths ambassador ,Leigh Readman, World Maths Day co-ordinator,was delighted to tell her :”Being an ambassador is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of something special and now it’s over to you to get your school, your friends and your country excited about World Maths Day! World Maths Day is all about getting students around the world to unite and break yet another World Record in numbers. No matter who you are or where you come from, this global event is a fantastic opportunity to be a part of something special.This really will be a huge event and we hope you will feel privileged in representing your country in the biggest educational event in the world”.

Well done, Maria, we are all very proud of your achievement and wish you all the best in your important job!
