Upper Sixth pupils attend Sentinus Mock Interviews. 04 February 2010

On Monday 1st February all the Upper 6th pupils ditched their uniforms for slightly more grown up attire. They arrived in school dressed up in their smartest gear for a mock interview day held by Sentinus.

Sentinus put on a great day with activities in the morning where everyone got put in groups and had to decide who was going to be allowed to travel to the moon depending on their careers to survive an apocalyptic meteor hitting the Earth.

This sparked very interesting discussions such as why you would need a computer programmer on the moon – for facebook obviously – and why you should leave the fitness instructors on Earth.

The afternoon saw each group going to individual classrooms and putting their interview skills to the test with an interviewer. The pressure was on as each interview took place in front of the rest of the group who then judged each interviewee.
Overall the day was very successful and everyone learned many useful skills that could be put in to practice in the future for university or job interviews.

All the Upper 6s would like to thank Mrs Andrew, Tom Keane from Sentinus and all those who gave up their day to come and hold interviews.
