FORM ONE RETREAT 2004

As part of the Pastoral Programme within Dominican College, Portstewart, all Year 8 pupils were invited to participate in a half day retreat which took place on Monday 18th October in Star Of The Sea Parish Centre.

The theme was based on our school motto, 'Veritas', meaning Truth. The pupils were given the opportunity to reflect on the truth of the Gospel and how that affects our lives today as followers of Jesus. The retreat was facilitated by Fr Raymond Mc Cullagh (School Chaplain) and some university students. It concluded with a short Prayer Service.

As with previous years, the experience was a very positive one, building upon our Opening of the Academic Year Mass and it enabled all Year 8's to bond as a year group as part of their new school community.
