Form One Science Fieldtrip To Downhill (September 2006)

Dominican College's Science Department held their first fieldtrip of the year with the Form 1 pupils going on a trip to Downhill.

This Downhill fieldtrip gave our Year 8 students an opportunity to study trees, birds, butterflies and frogs away from the classroom. It also helped these new Dominican pupils to get to know classmates and staff.

Our Year 8 boys and girls proved to be a very enthusiastic bunch of young scientists. This enthusiasm continued back in the classroom with many excellent sketches of their discoveries. I expect they are now looking forward to the week of science fieldtrips in June 2007.
