Swimming Awards - Dec 2006
Luke Osborne from Year 8 travelled to Dublin last weekend to
compete in the all Ireland national minor school swimming gala
where he represented his school Dominican college Portstewart.
Having Qualified in heats in Ballymena and the Northern Ireland
finals in October, where he won bronze medals in his two
strokes, he secured his place in the Dublin finals.
With the competition great, he qualified for the finals and came
8th overall in his two strokes, quite an achievement out of all
Ireland!
He has trained hard while studying for his tests. His parents
are very proud of his achievements and the Dominican P.E. Dept.
are as well.
